Who: Kennedy & Kumiko
What: Kennedy has a plan, Its a really really bad plan. But its all she's got
Where: Streets then Kumi's Lair
When: Late Night- the same time as the ritual
Rating: High
Status: complete
Kennedy had left the Hyperion, leaving her computer open but not replying to the plans anymore, there was a ritual underway, Spike was looking for Raidon and she had told Faith she would be ready to deal with Kumiko and that she had a plan, and she hadn't waited for the Slayer to answer her.
So now she was walking, walking and thinking about the vampire, focusing her mind, thinking about how much she wanted to see her.
This would either get her killed or save the city.
Either way Kumiko was the threat, even without Dracula's powers, she was the threat. She had powers like Willow and Kennedy had seen her ex rewrite reality. And Will was one of the good guys.
Usually.
She stopped in a darkened park, in a little group of trees bunched together and leaned against one of the branches, thought about Kumiko, and waited
There was something about cheerleaders. They just irritated Kumiko and she took special delight in tearing open the arteries in their necks and drinking deeply of their blood. The spatters made such pretty patterns on the white uniforms, staining the fabric in a deep crimson. She dropped the corpse and giggled before she felt a faint tickling against her mind. The little Slayer was thinking about her, how sweet.
She clapped her hands with a delighted laugh and instantly teleported away, appearing at Kennedy's side.
"Hello pretty," she murmured, instantly close to her side as she reached out to brush her hair fondly. "Missed me?"
Kennedy shivered at the touch, the woman terrified her, that much power and Kennedy had to trick her, had to distract her. Still, best to start now, Faith would need to get a move on, get done quickly. Get the power gone.
"Faith's scared, scared she can't win, and I don't often see her scared, so I worked it out. She can't can she, she can't win, can't beat you, You're stronger, like Willow. And you can keep me out of it when you kill the Slayers, you can be there for me and you can let me help you, you can give me forever"
She shifted her body into the touch, brushing against the side of the witch turned vampire turned unkillable dracu vamp.
"I want you to..." she whispered softly into her ear.
It wasn't often someone matched Kumiko for strength, with attitude and the vampire found she liked it. "Of course the rogue is scared," she murmured back. "She can't win, you're right. She'll be destroyed, but you can be spared that."
She turned slightly, a hungry smile crossing her face.
"With Toru gone, I need a new General by my side. Someone with power to lead my armies when I take over this miserable world in the name of my goddess."
She took another step closer, slipping a hand behind Kennedy's neck, fingers twisting slightly in her hair as she tugged her closer.
"Just tell me you want me."
Kennedy had to play it right, play it like she wanted it, like she had no choice.
So she let herself be tugged closer, let the vampire get her hands at her neck though it went against every sense, every feeling, everything she was.
"Of course I want you. You're practicly a Goddess yourself" she told her, wrapping the vampires hands around her waist.
"I want you Kumiko. I need you"
She leaned back and whispered in her ear "I want you to show me what it would mean, what I'd get for my alligance."
"Only practically," Kumiko's laugh was light as she slid her other arm around Kennedy's waist, as the Slayer wanted. She leaned in, breathing in over Kennedy's neck. Even with no need to breathe, she could still inhale the Slayer's scent, one that would become so very familiar and dear to her. She even traced the whisper of a kiss over the skin, her face shifting slightly to her true form as she let a hint of a fang trail down her neck.
"You'd get power," she whispered back, holding the Slayer close as, in a blink if an eye, they teleported from where they were to a richly decadent bedroom. Away from the rest of the army, most of whom were out for a hunt anyway, it was Kumiko's inner sanctuary. A four-poster bed was in the center, with deep blood red curtains and silk sheets. Cliched, perhaps, but Kumiko still revelled in the luxury. The corpse of her latest meal was still crumpled on the floor, one arm splayed out on the bed as the cheerleader had clung onto the sheets in some last ditch attempt to free herself. Now the vampire simply tossed the limb aside, sending the whole body rolling across the floor.
"Convinced yet?"
She couldn't react to it, the dead girl. The last victim of the monster that held her in her arms, running a fang down her neck, It went against every instinct of a Slayer and Kennedy wondered was that a part of it, some kind of test.
"Power huh?" she said with a smirk, gazing around at the decedent surroundings. "I think I could get used to that"
She ignored the body as much as it bothered her and sat at the edge of the bed, typical blood red.
"I'm getting there, I'm hard to please though. Didn't earn the title of the Brat just for nothing"
"Hard to please," Kumiko echoed. "You won't be when I'm done with you. At least not for me."
It amused her, to see how quickly the mighty had fallen. It was even cute. The little Slayer, practically begging to be made all hers. Well, one couldn't argue with the ego boost.
She leaned in and captured Kennedy's lips in a long, slow kiss, easing her backwards as she slid cold hands up under her shirt.
"Little bratty Slayer," she purred. "I like the sound of that you know."
Come on Faith she thought, allowing herself to be eased back on the bed, when she'd said she wanted herself a Dracu Babe to Faith this hadn't been entirely what she'd had in mind. She pushed into the kiss but allowed the vampire to have the power, it was obvious she'd have to play this just right,
Time passed and Kennedy didn't think about anything else, she was too close to Kumiko now, too connected to think about what she had to do.
She waited, and allowed the vampire to do as she wanted, but led the events enough so she didn't bite her just yet. Didn't turn her.
And then she heard the voice in her mind. Jacen, one of the few who she knew would have agreed with her crazy plan. He was telling her now, do it now.
She carefully slid her hand down to her boot, still kissing along Kumiko's stomach, trying to make it seem as she was going to remove them, but she had hidden a stake within them, a simple, thin but sharp stake that would do the job.
And in a simple move that only a Slayer could manage, she grabbed the weapon from her boot and buried it deep in the heart of the vampire witch.
Work dammit, work
Kumiko was focused on the seduction. She was good at it, practiced. And she enjoyed it, enjoyed losing herself in the moment.
She should have been more careful.
Should have focused instead on that strange feeling in her mind that would have told her that her powers were being stripped away. Her connection to her goddess torn from her.
Instead all she felt was a sharp pain in her chest. She looked from Kennedy's eyes to the stake with shock clear on her face before fury shone through.
"This isn't the end you know."
And then Kumiko Ishihara, student of Sega Vasuki, powerful witch, ancient vampire, exploded into dust.
Kennedy watched her die, watched the shock, the anger, and ignored the comment as best she could as the vampire turned to dust, she landed on the bed as the dust settled and exhaled finally, Yeah it was over. It was entirely over.
She grabbed her clothes from where they'd been flung her stake still beside her, there were still vampires, a lot of them, minions who okay wouldn't have Dracula's powers but would still be vampires, and they'd want revenge.
She tried to contact Jacen again, sending her location and the fact that it was done, that she'd got the bitch before taking one of the sheets from the bed, shaking the dust that had been Kumiko off of it and covering the body of the girl she had killed as a morning snack, Give the girl that at least. And then Kennedy sat at the edge of the bed, clothed again, stake in hand, and she waited.
It was the end. There was nothing Kumiko could do now. No threat she could make. Even with power like Willow's even with that Goddess she talked about, she was dust. Like vampires became at the end. Just dust.
It was done
