Flicking closed the cover on his wrist strap, Jack hummed to himself as the invisible lift rose up to the street level. He paused on the pavement once it had reached his full height, just standing there and watching the people stream around him as if he didn't exist. Jack wasn't sure what he would have done had the Hub not made its reappearance here when he did and, to that end, having all its pieces and parts too.
He loved standing here, observing. Los Angeles was so much different than Cardiff and there were time that Jack truly missed the place. He rocked back onto his heels, shoving his hands deep into the pockets of his greatcoat and just watched. Different continent but still he protected these people. Always would, for that matter -- even if they didn't know it.
Seeing the Doctor, Jack hopped down from the step and narrowly avoided smacking into a rather fit looking man. Jack was cursed (while Jack took a good long look at the man's arse) and headed over to where the Doctor was. "Suppose it depends," he said, stepping up beside the man. "Which side do you think you'd have more fun on? Or sit in the middle of the aisle if you can't decide and making the wedding party step around you."
