There were only so many places you could run or hide when you were trapped in the same city as your creator, Father, God, whatever you wanted to call Him or Her. The street was empty, it was still dark out. The skies were clear, the stars out, the moon quite clear. It was mostly quiet, minus the sound of a few cars that passed a few streets over. Suddenly, a red headed woman appeared in the middle of the street, looking anything but calm. Anna knew She was coming, and she would be there soon. She couldn't run from Her here, not in a place like this. What She wanted, Anna didn't know. Anna had fallen, she had broken the main rule. The had warranted her death. Was that still the case now?
Looking around, she looked up and down the street, waiting. To someone walking by, she would look lost. Confused even, as if she didn't know where she was going. She knew where she was, not that it mattered. What the Angel was trying to figure out was where She was going to be coming from. Hard to tell, maybe impossible.
Taking two steps back, the Angel turned and looked around the quiet street. Any minute now, she was sure. Fingers clenched into fists at her side, her pale face hardened. No more running, no more hiding. This was it, it seemed. After thousands of years, she was going to come face to face with God. At this point in time, she didn't want to. She had chosen her path, and what did it matter now? God had spoken to her for the first time on a computer. Anna's respect level wasn't that high.
