Huntress was off the clock tonight, as was "Ms. Bertinelli," the high school teacher. Tonight she was free to be Helena and enjoy a night at the a local watering hole. Now, it was a school night, but she had made a promise to herself not to get too drunk. In fact, all she wanted to do was have a drink or two, then return to the tower to catch a few winks, before she had to return to school in the morning to teach and keep an eye on Terry.
She really didn't like the idea of being a babysitter, but she had agreed to do it for Terry's own good. The Joker was still at large, therefore he was still in danger of being targeted by him again.
Honestly, though? She was beginning to think the clown had gone back to Gotham, as he'd been awfully silent as of late. The last anyone had heard from him (as far as she was aware) was when he sent Babs those gruesome presents for her birthday. But that had happened weeks ago.
Where was he? No one she had interrogated questioned seemed to known a damn thing about his whereabouts or what he was planning next. But they sure as hell enjoyed being part of his stupid fan club. Granted, most of them were kids and hadn't a clue what they were doing. For all she knew, they thought this was just a game, that their actions wouldn't have consequences.
And those that were beginning to realize what they were doing and regretting the choice they made? Huntress happily handed them over to the proper authorities, so they might be able to straighten themselves out.
She just hoped it wasn't too late.
Helena took a seat on one of the empty stools at the end of the bar and crossed her legs. The barkeep was still waiting on some other costumers down the way, so she'd have to wait patiently to place her order.
While she waited, she plucked a couple pretzels from one of the bowls nearest to her and popped them into her mouth. She hadn't eaten any dinner, but since she was about to imbibe some alcohol, she figured she should fill up on something. After all, she didn't exactly have Zinda's constitution for the stuff.
