Smashing her Grace hadn't been the actions of a well thought plan. She simply reacted. If she hadn't people were going to die. The pure energy of creation and burned through her body, lighting her up and engulfing the entire area around in the same, pure, brilliant light, before she had vanished. Anna, or Ariel, and no real concept of time for how long she was gone. She hadn't been an Angel for over twenty years, but once she was back, she knew the feeling, and fell into step easily.
It was just after sunset when lightening streaked across the sky in MacArthur Park, and the whole area just seemed to grow darker, with the wind picking up. One bolt of lighting streaked down to the ground, and touched, followed by a massive burst of light. The Angel in Anna Milton's body, which was, in a way, still hers, stepped forward, moving quickly three paces, before stopping.
Everything went calm and clear once again, and she looked around. She'd been here before, she'd come here to draw over the months she'd been in LA. Sighing, Anna ran her hands through her hair, looking around. As far as she knew, God was free now. Which was good, in a way. Alastair wasn't getting her hands on her anytime soon, at least for torturing. So really, the only thread she had left to deal with was Heaven. Assuming God still wanted her dead. But if She didn't, then maybe, maybe she would be left alone. Hard to tell.
She looked down at her outfit, a pair of faded jeans, a black long length t-shirt and a green sweater. What she had worn when she left the Lux...however long ago it was. It couldn't have been more than a day. It seemed she was still stuck in LA. Shoving her hands in her pockets, she started to walk, purposely moving in a human fashion through the park. It wasn't hard to feel the difference. There was no hunger, no feeling of cold or warm. No need for anything. The human emotions she remembered feeling were nothing more than a memory now. One she would miss.
