group one-fighters (as the barriers come down)
Jacen Solo closed his eyes as the magic users worked, feeling the comforting presence of the Force. He focused a moment, letting his connection with it grow as he prepared himself for the battle that was inevitably to come. His lightsaber was in his hand, though not yet activated. There was pain here, fear, anger, suffering. He could feel it through the Force, dimly at first, so dimly that even he would have missed it entirely if he hadn't been searching for it. But as the magic users kept up their work and the protections began to weaken, the flood of emotions began to come through more clearly.
He glanced at Tenel Ka, offering a short, brisk nod. She would be ok. She would be, she had to be. And this was not the time or the place for them to reassure each other. Right now they had to be fighters. His gaze flicked to the others they had with them, unknowns many of them, though a couple he knew from the odd interaction, if not in battle.
As the spells were finally broken, Jacen activated his lightsaber, the red blade sending a glow out into the darkness.
