Who: God, Alistair, NPC Minions What: The Great Kidnapping When: The morning of the 3rd Where: The Boardwalk status/rating: incomplete/high Notes: Confused? Details here. Angelic types, feel free to react to this, since as of this afternoon She's out of the picture temporarily.
She'd been contemplating this vacation recently, wondering if it was almost time to head back home. Skeeball was fun, but She'd been playing skeeball for months now and there were no plagues to rain down. Or at least no reason to rain them down, was the better statement. There were always plagues, but She wasn't angry at any particular thing. She was just bored and She'd already thrown four perfect games and had the top ten high scores on every pinball machine in the arcade. What else was there for her to do? Every time She thought about it She remembered that She had a daughter being born back home in just a matter of months. Logic dictated She should be around for that (even if She wouldn't actually be present) and that maybe Her vacation did need to come to a close. But even being bored, She did like it here. At least the people were interesting.
She had some loose ends to tie up before She could justify popping out instantly. The most immediate being the Skeeball game in front of Her, but that didn't take long at all and when She was done it was yet another perfect game to add to all She'd accomplished during this extended sabbatical. She left the arcade after handing off Her tickets to some other child (because it simply looked odd for someone in the body She was in --old, male, rumpled, and with a bit of a nutty look about the eyes-- to try and claim the prize of a blow-up Spider-man, and She wasn't in the mood for a scene. Instead, She left and bought herself a cotton candy from a nearby stand before heading off towards a quieter area of the board walk, somewhere where She could sit and think about those loose ends for a moment or two. They were easily ticked off on her --now sticky-- weathered fingers. Eve, Castiel, Ben, Metatron, Bartleby... Well, if She really felt the need, taking those last two with Her wouldn't be the biggest of deals. She would think about it.
Leaning against the railing above the beach and ocean, She smiled softly. Beach sunsets were one of Her better creations, if She did say so herself. It had been a long time since She'd seen one from Alaska. Maybe that would be Her next stop.
