WHO: Sylar, Elle Bishop
WHAT: Sylar grows tired of his hostage, but learns some very interesting news
WHEN: Late afternoon
WHERE: A seedy L.A. motel room
RATING: TBD, probably PG-13ish
STATUS: Complete
The two of them sat in the dingy motel room they had broken into earlier. It had been roughly a day and a half since Sylar had taken Elle “hostage,” in order to learn her knowledge of this world and its inhabitants, and already his patience was wearing thin. Sure, on one hand she had come in handy, as she had proved surprisingly willing to show him around the city (“surprising” because the last time he had encountered her, she had blasted him with a bolt of electric energy). Still, her incessant yapping (to Sylar’s ears, at least) had quickly become tiresome.
This was especially true given that he had quickly realized she was not quite the wealth of information he had been hoping for. He could have hijacked a cab and gotten any worthless cabbie to give him a “tour” of the city. He had been hoping for more from Elle, but he was starting to see that she knew no more about their current predicament than he did, a fact that was confirmed almost instantly when he had asked her about Wolfram & Hart, and she had responded with a meaningless rant about them being a law firm and how hot some guy named Lindsay was. This was not the information Sylar was looking for.
Not only that, but her continuous flirting was even beginning to grate on his nerves. There was a time, in his previous life as Gabriel Gray, that that sort of attention from a girl with Elle’s looks would have been the highlight of his year. But this “reborn” Sylar was, as far as he was concerned, above such things. Lately, his interests in women pretty much began and ended with if they had any abilities he could steal for himself – and this one did. That was starting to feel more and more like the best option available, as he was growing more certain that Elle Bishop’s value was quickly reaching its end.
As he listened to her go on and on about some other meaningless subject (as almost all subjects were, to someone as single-minded as he), he finally had enough. Reaching a breaking point, he suddenly lashed out with his telekinesis, throwing her to the floor. He was on her almost as quickly, grabbing her by the throat – sure, he had all those powers at his disposal, but sometimes the old methods were still the most fun. He knew this was a risky position, given her abilities, but she knew what he could do, too. He felt confident that if she wanted to keep her brain, she’d keep the sparks to herself for the moment.
“I’ve had enough! All this talk, and so far you haven’t told me anything. Give me one good reason I shouldn’t kill you right now.”
