With the new and multiple threats in the city, things had been a little worrisome lately. So when Fred had taken herself away from the books for a while, she had decided to go downtown to a little coffee shop to pick up a few bags of beans for the hotel as a break. Every situation could use some coffee.
She gazed up at the selection of beans listed on the menu above the counter, the rich scent of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of blenders working providing a wonderful atmosphere to just stop thinking for a moment. Fred shifted the purse strap up higher on her shoulder and reached in to find the few bills she'd tucked away.
Her no-look search resulted in a few items being knocked out, toppling to the floor behind her. "Darn."
