At that, Jack shook his head in the negative. "Honestly couldn't tell you. Haven't seen them, nor has this," he nodded towards his wrist strap, "given me any indication that there are. But at the same time, lack of seeing them doesn't mean they aren't here." And they would show up just to put a damper on things. As if demons and vampires and werewolves weren't enough to contend with on their own. "Well, practise does make perfect, does it not?"
Well, the first time had been in the middle of trying to get rid of 'Captain John', so Jack knew the question of a date had come from left field. But, if judging by how comfortable Ianto was around him, prospect of a date shouldn't have been that out of the realm of possibilities. Particularly when Ianto said they had gotten better. Jack returned the smile, the hand supporting him against the desk moving slightly closer to Ianto's hip. "Ianto, you should know me well enough by now that I don't do anything I don't want to." He'd been close, he remembered, back in his time. Close that things had just begun to progress between them.
He couldn't suppress the shiver that ran down his spine as Ianto's fingers ran over his chest. Nor, really, did he want to. There was comfort in the way his hands felt, the sureness of his motions. Jack only wished his memories matched Ianto's. But, then again, there was the enjoyment in starting something anew. New place, new life... it could work, couldn't it?
"You always think too much," Jack replied fondly. "It's one of your best qualities. Second only to your abilities with a coffee machine."
Then, there it was. Ianto's fingers running through his hair, pulling him closer. Jack's hand left Ianto's cheek, moving to cup the back of his neck as they moved closer without warning. Jack sighed into the kiss, stepping closer to the other man, though between the desk and Jack's body, Ianto wasn't going anywhere. Nor, really, did Jack want them moving. Not with a kiss like this.
