Ruby had stayed in the doorway once she'd heard Mary and Claire had been returned, she'd just hung back and watched the reunion, awkward as ever when surrounded by the happy family reunion stuff. She didn't say anything, what was she going to say, what could she possibly say.
She knew what but not who. And that bothered her more than she would ever let on to anyone. She wanted to be able to tell them who, to be able to say how to fight them, what tricks they used, cause Ruby knew the higher ups of hell, one didn't get the reputation she had without knowledge to back it up. She just so completely wished she knew who. Her fingers closed around her knife. It and the Colt their only defence now Sam had turned away from his destiny. She didn't know who it was, and so she didn't know if it was worth it to fight or just run. But where in LA could someone run.
Thinking like that didn't help as she stayed back and watched, finally moving back inside when the reunion turned to talk of going back in the house.
She switched on the coffee machine. Best to be doing something useful.
