Who: Fred Burkle and Cathy Hyatt What: Random run in Where: Street market When: Afternoon Rating: PGish
The sun was shining, it was a nice, warm day without being overly humid, and Fred was in a good mood. The bag that held her purchases swung in her hand as she wound her way through the street market, stopping to gwak at performers and browse through the various items being sold at the tables lined up along each side. She'd already found an old copy of Robin Hood and couldn't resist purchasing it to add to her collection.
She slowed near an art table, eyeing the package of markers sitting upright against a stack of the same. There were so many colors. It was a pity that her days as a wall drawer were, for the most part, over. There was a chance of a doodle here and there but as long as she had a white board to work with, she had no reason to. Still...
Fred handed over the money and took the receipt and markers with a smile, sliding them into her bag and thanking the vendor for the purchase. She turned to meld back with the crowd, stuffing the change and receipt into her purse, and not quite looking where she was going. She managed to stop just in time to avoid crashing into the other person. "I'm sorry!"
