Who: Anna and Open What: Attempting the normal in a city that isn't normal When: Tuesday, late afternoon, around dinner time Where: A small cafe Rating: TBD Status: Incomplete
Keeping away from most of the excitement in the city wasn't proving to be that difficult. She'd kept her hex bag with her at all times, out of sight from Angels and Demons. Earlier this morning she had checked out those Lazarus Pits that everyone was talking about, and had watched a woman with a missing leg go in, and a slightly younger woman, with two legs walk out. Anna hadn't stuck around long, leaving as soon as the woman had started to rave and become aggressive. But it had worked, just like the people had said. That had pretty much filled her curiosity about the pits.
That afternoon she'd done shopping, some food and some clothes, and had gone to work. A job as a waitress in a restaurant, and her tips allowed to get by on what she needed. She had the night off, and a little extra money. Grabbing a book, oddly enough Angels an Demons, she found herself a quiet cafe, and sat down to eat.
She'd been there only ten minutes now, a tea and a small basket of bread in front of her while she waited for her meal to be made. It was just a cafe, nothing fancy. If she looked up, she could see her salad being made on the other side of the counter.
Simply a place to relax, do something quiet, keep off the radar so to speak. After this she fully intended on renting a movie, before heading back to her this-week hotel room to watch a movie.
