WHO: Catwoman & Batman (Terry McGinnis). (If anyone else wants to join in, lemme know.)
WHAT: The Feline Fatale meets "future boy."
WHEN: Sometime after the Joker's punchline.
WHERE: Atop a random rooftop a few blocks away from the devastation.
STATUS: Complete. (DROPPED)
RATING: PG
NOTE(S): Hope this is okay. :)
The rubble and debris was still smoldering, even hours later after the whole city block had gone up in flames. Most of the fires had been put out and a few people had been pulled from the wreckage, but the smell of chaos and smoke still hung heavily in the air.
Catwoman had found a lofty perch to set herself upon and watched as the "heroes" went to work; she had been watching for a good hour or so now, but she hadn't seen neither hair nor hide of the culprit behind the aforementioned chaos. The Joker usually loitered around to admire his so-called "handiwork." That's how he got his jollies: watching people scramble about in confusion and fear, watch them as they fell prey to entropy and misery. He was an agent of chaos.
While Catwoman had never been considered a "good guy," she was certainly no murderer. She didn't go around stealing other people's lives; she stole jewels and priceless pieces of artwork—and sometimes even money—but she'd never even considered killing for the sake of gaining some pretty trinkets or cold-hard cash. Contrary to popular belief, the Feline Felon had morals—as objective as they might've been, she still had them and did her best to stick to them. And killing was on the top of her big 'no-nos' list.
Right now, however, it was pretty damn tempting to go hunt down the clown and beat him into submission herself. But he'd probably only enjoy it.
What a freak. But the same could just be as easily said about her.
