WHO: Sam & Heather.
WHAT: Dog-walking, with awkwardness without a doubt.
WHEN: After her graffiti.
WHERE: Out and about.
RATING: TBD.
STATUS: Incomplete.
From the second she had opened her eyes that morning, Heather had known that she wanted to get out of the house for a while. She'd gone out the night before with Sam, just driving around to clear their heads, but it hadn't exactly been pleasant. Things were strained between them, and even the attempts to make nice again were pretty rocky. Needless to say, Heather didn't like it. A lot of it, she felt, was her own fault. Her reaction to Uriel's visit had been terrible at best, and she'd given Sam attitude ever since. It wasn't even that she was mad at him, but the whole situation was becoming more frustrating and upsetting than ever, and she tended to lash out at people who didn't deserve it when she felt that way.
She couldn't stop thinking about it. All of it. Sam wanted to exorcise a demon out of his own father, willingly. No matter how much he told her it was necessary, no matter how much Ruby tried to convince her that she was just trying to prepare Sam for destroying Lilith, Heather felt uneasy about the whole thing. It wasn't something she would mention anymore, though. It was obvious that her opinion wasn't going to change anything, so to make things simpler, she would need to just grin and bear it. Keep an eye on the situation to make sure nothing went wrong or looked suspicious, but grin and bear it all the same.
And then there was Uriel. He knew she was sensitive to Sam and Ruby more than anyone else. He knew how to get under her skin, get inside her head and fish around until she had no idea what she really thought about it anymore. He wasn't done with her, either. He wanted to keep working at her until she broke, agreed to hand Ruby over. But she wouldn't. She couldn't. Sure, maybe it would fix everything, but would it be worth it in the end? And as soon as Heather thought along those lines, another voice popped up asking if Ruby was worth all the trouble.
Heather shook her head against the tornado whipping through her mind as she fastened the black leather leash to Cricket's matching collar. Her thoughts were going to go to that scene of Sam and Ruby having sex, and she did not want to even entertain it. Best to just push it all aside and hope the walk would distract her.
"I know, I know," Heather told the dog with a light laugh. "We're going as soon as Sam comes down, alright? Otherwise you'll wreck the place, won't you?" Cricket was whimpering and yapping, looking to the door and then back to Heather expectantly. At the sound of footsteps descending the stairs, though, the dog began circling madly until she was all caught up in the leash, and Heather had to, once again, untangle it's length from around her legs.
