Who: Fred and Tru What: Shopping Where: Mall When: Late afternoon Rating: PG
Unlike most of the crowd moving through the mall, Fred had a different purpose in mind.
She'd been at the hotel long enough without being sent back that it was about time she started giving the room personal touches. And this time that did not include scrawling mathematical equations and physics formulas with permanent marker on the walls. So far she'd managed to accumulate five bags, more than she'd expected but a few things had caught her eye to give as gifts.
As she moved with the crowd, her purse strap began to slip down her shoulder and she shifted, trying to help it slide back. The strap didn't slide back and one of the bag handles slipped out of her hand, the bag hitting the ground. "Oh crap," Fred murmured as she quickly crouched and tried to gather up the bag. Another one slipped out of her hand with the awkward manuvering. Finally she scooted the bag out of the way with her foot and leaned back against a wall, catching her breath.
