WHO: Jean Grey, tag Kurt Wagner; OPEN
WHAT: A chat.
WHEN: After this exchange. Probably afternoon-ish.
WHERE: Echo Park, near/by the lake.
RATING: TBD, but probably pretty low.
STATUS: In Progress.
Echo Park Lake was a beautiful and serene sight to behold; unfortunately the scenery did little to lessen Jean's anxiety. Over the last few days, Jean had (seemingly) come back from the dead, found herself in Los Angeles, learned Logan had moved on (more or less), and she had become a stranger's roommate. Furthermore, she had learned that someone or something was supposedly pulling people here from different worlds/realities to fight in some sort of war.
It all seemed so absurd. But was it really that hard to believe? She had been brought back to life... and it was the only explanation that made any sense at all. And just because it did, it didn't make it any easier to except as the truth.
Jean needed to talk to someone, and after discovering Kurt had been arrived there, she figured he'd be the best choice. Logan was busy building his new life with Selene (who she actually liked) and Rogue... well, she didn't want to risk scaring her off. She seemed just as lost and confused as she was, and didn't want to confuse her even further. When the time was right, however, Jean would make her presence known to her.
For now, she just wanted to sit down and talk to someone who wasn't going to judge her outright.
Jean took a seat on one of the benches lining the pathway and gazed across the lake, admiring Los Angeles' skyline that loomed in the distance.
