During the dancing; Xander and OPEN.
Now that he was stuffed with food and cake, Xander knew that there was only one other thing that he was going to be able to do with himself. Mingle. Make with the social life, let everyone know that their wonderful eyepatch wearing sidekick of doom was in the building. Except, the problem with that was, you know, the fact that Xander Harris generally didn't feel all that up to himself during weddings in general. He had planned out the evening pretty well, all the way from the beginning. After he fidgeted his way through the service and managed to get halfway through the reception, he'd attempt to lighten himself up with the food and laughter.
He did some of that, even though he kept getting paranoid around poor Anya. He felt like she was shooting him accusing glares every time he looked at her. All because of the wedding situation. Their wedding situation. The one that had resulted in him leaving her at the alter because of his paranoia.
Which was everything BUT awesome, Xander reminded himself as he slunk away from his table and started moving toward the bar. Drinking himself silly wasn't going to solve anything though and he knew that. He had to stay upbeat and cheerful. This was a wedding! Someone else's wedding! No one expected anything of him, right?
Right. Hopefully. So Xander turned away from the bar and started moving out to the dance floor. There was a surprisingly upbeat song playing, so he slipped his way into the crowd and started to dance. With who? He really didn't know. But there was going to be dancing anyway. And with someone. Eventually. Until then? He weaved in circles around everyone, dancing like the eye patch ridden tuxedo wearing little sidekick that he was.
