"Oh ouch," he replied, clasping his hands over his heart as if her comment had wounded him deep. The next thing he knew she was giving him orders to get inside. Fat chance of that happening. Shit was going down and for once he could jump into it without having to wait for the ok or a plan to be made.
"Thanks, but I think I'll stay. It's more fun out here," Adam shot back, pausing to watch as she took out some kid. That was kind of hot. But the moment he took a step back, someone slammed into his shoulder and he spun to find a young woman clutching at her neck. "Run!" She called out, eyes wide, as she ran down the sidewalk as quickly as she could in heels.
Exiting the alley he'd heard noises from earlier were two of the biggest, ugliest vamps he had ever seen. Body builders in life, maybe, after having been hit in the face by a mini-Mack truck. Or possibly he just wasn't used to the bumpy forehead thing yet. "Great," Adam muttered, backing out towards the street.
