It knawed at Ben, knowing there was someone inside him, someone evil, cruel. Someone he couldn't rid himself of. He'd been mostly in control lately, occasional slip ups, he was sick to death of waking up in a damn dress sometimes with some poor insane gibbering wreck beside him.
He'd managed to hold down a job if not a relationship or anything remotely like it. She took everything he loved and destroyed it, None of this was Ben's fault, he hadn't wanted a God to share his body. Hadn't wanted any of this but they'd created him for that. To house her, to keep her out of the way. But she had begun to slip through sometimes, begun to exert herself and he dared not tell anyone. He'd loose everything he was. Because of her, always because of her.
"I hate you" he told her, pulling on a pair of scrubs before stepping out into the hall...
An unfamiliar hall.
This wasn't Sunnydale General. A hospital yes but not where he was supposed to be at all.
What had Glory done to him now. Where had she brought him?
He made his way across to the nearest admin desk his scrubs meaning no one questioning him as he stepped behind glancing at the computer. City of Angels Medical Centre.
What the holy hell was he doing in LA?. And why did he have a gut feeling it was something very much to do with Glory.
He hated her, he thought again. Hated her more than he thought possible.
He ducked back into the room slamming a fist into the wall, hurting him but not her, like always.
"I expect you're confused" came the voice from behind Ben, a voice he suspected he knew. Hell Bitch had minions after all "To be honest we...thought you would take it with a good deal more maturity, playing host as you do to Glorificus the Most Beauteous and Supremely Magnificent One"
Ben wanted to hurt him.
"What do you want?"
"I have brought this" said the minion holding up a tight green dress, leather it looked like, and Ben shook his head. He refused to wake up in it later.
"Go to hell, She's NOT getting out so easily..."
"Don't you feel it though Sir, the power of this place, she talks about the minds that scream to her. In such great number too... The most Sacred Glorificus shall find controlling you even easier than on the Hellmouth."
The minion waited and sure enough Ben could feel her...clawing inside his head, clawing for control.
"No...No Glory you can't, I don't even know what you want in LA"
"Pretty lights big city baby, and a second chance"
"Chance for what?"
"Nothing you need to concern yourself with...I'll let you out to play"
"You don't have a choice. I won't let you hurt people Glory"
"Now who doesn't have a choice...I live in you gentle Ben...those rotten nasty betrayers locked me all away and stole my Key, all I want is my Key. Its mine. Now be a good boy and..."
"...go sleep for a while."
Glory shook out her hair looking down in disgust at the hospital scrubs. The minion, she thought it might hav been Jinx stepped forward with a dress, he also carried shoes. They totally even coordinated. She did like her boys sometimes.
She pulled the scrubs top off and wriggled into the dress, her shoes following the removal of the rest of that awful hospital attire and finally she was ready but for...
"...The ruby red?" she asked and the Minions eyes widened.
"You forgot the lipstick!" she cried stomping her foot even as the floor beneath shook.
"Forgive me Oh splendid and Naturally Beautious One!, but its LA they're all saying natural is the new black."
He thought anyway...
Glory pouted but maybe he was right, and damn if she didn't look good anyway.
"Fine...so tell me about LA" she instructed "Have you found me a place yet? and the Slayers you say they're here, even the slutty one...What about my Key, where is the little brat"
They left the hospital, Jinx pulling a hood up over his demonic features as he explained. Glory simply basking in the adoration she knew only she could inspire.
