According the newspaper she had picked up, it hadn't been all that long at all since she had left. For her, it had been two years, and there were visible changes. May had grown up, two years had made her older looking, and though she just graduated High School, the way she dressed and carried herself made it seem like she could be a little bit older than that. It could be her hair, no longer cropped short, but kept long, past her shoulders. Or maybe it was the outfit. She had been on her way for another interview at Yale, and was dressed for it. She had left proud parents waiting outside while she had entered the building, and the found herself here.
At first she was completely confused. How was she standing out in the middle of the street, at night, when it had just been day time? But when that familiar tingle got her to spin around just in time to block a swing coming from a vampire, she knew exactly where she was. It had been a very inconvenient time to not have a stake, so she had to make do with throwing him into some trash cans, and then booking it. It really wasn't easy to run in high heals, so she found herself web-slinging toward the Hyperion.
She touched down in front of the familiar building she use to live in a couple of years ago. Well, she was back, now hopefully they'd let her stay. She soothed out her white dress, tugging on the ends to make sure it hung properly above the knee, and fussed with the collar. She dusted off some dirt from her black healed boot, and adjusted her rather large purse (it had a few important things besides her applications in it), before heading toward the door.
Finding herself looking at a familiar looking lobby, Mayday did a full spin around as she walked, jogging her memory of the building she'd called home for a while. "Hello?" she called. "Anyone here?" Well, someone was always here, it was just a matter of finding where they were hidden.
