Who: Selene (It can be open) When: Just after seeing the news about Jin. Where: Out on the streets looking for a safe place to hide. Why: Trouble is coming her way, she can feel it. Status: In progress, maybe Rating: PG 13
For the longest while she could not stop staring at the frozen image on the screen of the television. Thanks to the wonderful technology of TIVO Selene could stare in horror at her worst nightmare on public display. Gun shot. Bite. The police were baffled by the wound.
Selene was terrified; her blood froze in her veins. It was all the things she was taught to hide come to life in high definition.
Worst yet was the face of the victim. Selene knew she had to leave and soon. The gun that was likely used in the shooting was the H&K .45 that had gone missing from her room. Of course it was not registered with the government, they could not find her, but someone else could.
She packed quickly, only taking what was a necessary, weapons, that sword specifically, and cash for a place to stay. Step by step her heart was breaking. That was why he had not called or returned her messages. Logan must think she was behind this. The agony pounding relentlessly in her chest was over the fact that he could believe it. How would she know otherwise? He was gone, would not contact her, Selene had to go with her instinct on this one.
Someone was setting her up to take a horrible fall. That someone smelled like Creed. What did it matter? Logan had told her once before that when he lost control there would be no way to reason with him. Just to run. So she ran with the tattered pieces of her heart rattling in her chest.
With every step she ran Selene knew she was only buying time. No matter where she went he would find her. It was a fight she knew she did not have the heart to finish and she had seen his nightmares, Logan had the heart if he believed she was behind the incident with Jin, he would have no reason to listen to her pleas.
Wound so tightly she felt as if she would snap Selene made her way down the city streets alone. Every sense was on full alert. Trying to pick up a scent, a sound, anything that might keep him from finding her before she could figure this all out. There had to be a way to prove she was not the culprit behind the brutality committed against the young girl. Her lips were pursed tightly to keep the strangled sob from escaping her lips.
