The upcoming task at hand would be one of the toughest that Alessa had faced yet. No matter what excuses she gave to herself, or the doubts that she had, Alessa knew that she had to do this. She had to enter into the realm where her father and Heather’s father was killed, and she had to destroy it. Doing this would be no easy task. First Alessa had to find a way back into the realm, and she wasn’t going to ask about using the port key again. Then she had to annihilate the realm without also annihilating herself in the process. For the past few days she had stayed up all hours of the night working out exactly what needed to be done, and what she needed to bring with her.
It was finally the day before today that Alessa had gathered, created, and formed to memory everything that she needed to do. Entering the realm itself would be easy enough. Inside of the abandoned hospital was a mirror. From experience she knew that mirrors could be used as portals between two realms. She was confident that this mirror would lead to the Otherworld, because the layer between the two worlds was weakest there. All that she had to do was cut open her hand, and place it on the mirror. This way she could leave her mark, and could come back easier.
Actually annihilating the realm was going to be extremely difficult. Even though Alessa’s power was great it wasn’t quite strong enough to completely annihilate an entire realm. In order for it to be done she needed to cast a spell that would amplify her will a thousand fold, and the only way she knew how was to create the Virun VII Crest also known as the Seal of Metatron also known as the Mark of Samael.
As a young girl, Alessa had heard many stories about the angels Metatron and Samael. They had brought fascination to the young child, and she even found herself believing in their power. It was also when she was seven years old that her mother told her about the Virun VII Crest. She had explained to Alessa that this seal was rarely ever used, because the burden it placed on the caster was great. If the magician’s mind set was not focused then they could be destroyed, or something much worse. Alessa was also informed that the seal would work regardless of the caster was good or evil.
Alessa didn’t use the seal until she was fourteen, and it wasn’t so much that she was using it. During her seven years in that coma where she found herself trapped inside of her nightmares she had learned many things. She had learned that by itself the Seal of Metatron was completely useless, and it required a strong belief in it’s powers. As the years increased so did Alessa’s belief in the seal’s power. On April 20th of 1983, Alessa set out to create a giant of Seal of Metatron in order to destroy Silent Hill, herself, and everyone else inside.
She had failed though. Now she didn’t want to even think about that. She needed to do this, and there was going to be no stopping her. She grabbed a small blade, a mirror, and tossed on her coat. She was as ready as she was ever going to be.
She was now at the hospital where the ritual had taken place. This was the very location that Alessa through her power had created that realm. If she could create it, then she would also destroy it. Now standing in front of the mirror, Alessa raised her right hand, and with her left hand clutching the knife she sliced deep into her palm. Almost immediately a thick red line formed, and blood began to pour slowly from the wound. She moved her hand around until the blood completely coated it, and then she placed her hand on the mirror. Her thoughts were focused on entering the Otherworld, and pretty soon she found herself being torn from the real world, and into the other world. This world also had a mirror which would act as her gate out of this place.
With a sigh she looked at her hand. The wound stopped bleeding, and the cut shrank until it was just a scarred red line. She quickly put her hand down, and made her way to the first location. The first location was at the church that Alessa had first met Elaine. That was honestly one of the strangest days in the girl’s life. Shaking those memories aside, the dark-haired woman made her way inside of the empty and decaying sanctuary. Calmly she walked to a more open spot, and cleansed her mind of all thoughts. When those were out of her way, she brought forth the incantation that she needed to use. With her eyes closed, her head tilted up, and her arms lifted up like a bird in flight Alessa called out the incantation.
”Hear my prayer o’ you stand on God’s right hand. Cast your gaze on upon thee, thou humbled servant, and grant me use of a small amount of your power, so that I may amplify thy own will, and power!
Metatron! You who act as the voice of God! Show me your infinite mercy, and grace. Give me the strength and courage to do what I need!
Samael! You who act as the poison of God Show me your power, and malevolence. Give me the wisdom and faith to do what I need!
I call forth your power to strengthen mine! I call forth your will to strengthen mine!
Now angels hear my cry! From out of mine hands this realm came forth, and from mine hands shall this realm be destroyed! I command thee to let my will be done!
When the last word escaped from her lips she felt a surge of power come over her. She opened up her eyes, and watched as the familiar sigil formed itself onto the floor of the church. It was as if the seal were being formed by the very fires of Heaven and Hell combined. As the first seal was being formed, Alessa felt a strange feeling that was indescribable. It didn’t stop until the seal was complete, and then it went away. With an exhale, Alessa left the church, and made her way to her next location.
She had chosen nine locations, all of them located in areas that Alessa had deemed fit. The last seal would be created in the abandoned hospital. This would make her escape easier, and was the reason she chose the layout this way. Alessa made her way to the remaining eight locations, and repeated the exact same mantra as she had when she created the first seal. Every time she created one that strange feeling came over her, and Alessa was starting hurt. She didn’t dare quit though. Doing so was going to be a grievous mistake, and she would not fail this.
When she arrived at the hospital, she walked into the room where the mirror was. The reflection revealed a clean, sterile, and empty hospital room. The complete opposite of the filthy, bloody, rusty, and decaying hospital that Alessa was now in. Just one more left. I will do this! Alessa thought to herself. With her eyes closed, head tilted up, and her arms outstretched she repeated the same mantra for the ninth time. For the ninth time she watched as the seal formed itself. Alessa watched in amazement. It was done! She had completed seal! The girl smiled from ear to ear obviously pleased as to what she had done.
Nobody had ever told her what would happen if she succeeded though. As the great Seal of Metatron formed around the entire realm, Alessa was hit with an excruciating pain inside of her head. It felt like her brain was being cut apart by fiery blades, and it was so bad that she found herself collapsing on her knees. Her hands clutched at her head, and she let out an ear shattering scream of complete agony. The pain was horrible, but Alessa had to get out of there! Using what strength she had, she stumbled to an upright position, and made her way to the mirror. She reached her hand to the spot where the bloodied hand print was, and touched it.
Not a moment too soon either. When she arrived back into the normal world, she turned around and witnessed the Otherworld being completely devoured by the darkness, and at once the reflection showed just your average reflection. Alessa chuckled to herself, then laughed out loud, and finally she collapsed on the ground.
