The shower comment threw him just a bit, but he still agreed, and they were soon on their way to his place. The ride was a silent one - despite the fact that they had both decided this would be the best place, it was obvious there was still a little tension in the air regarding the whole thing. When they arrived, he tried to cut the tension a little by opening the door and waving her in in an exaggerated, over-the-top manner.
He closed the door behind them, and quickly looked around the room to make sure the picture was nowhere in sight. That would be embarrassing, but luckily he remembered that it was still tucked away in a drawer. He had been trying to put it out of his mind, and that had worked in his favor now.
For the first time, he realized he was a little nervous to show off his "skills" to Claire, and he couldn't help but stammer a little as he spoke. "Alright, well, welcome to my humble abode. Uhh, I'm sure it's probably not as nice as the Hyperion, but hey, it'll do, right? So, uhh, I guess I'll just get right to it." With that, he pointed to the small remote control on the bedside table, concentrated, and with a flick of his wrist brought it flying across the room and into the palm of his hand. "Not bad, huh?"
