Mikaela had finally decided that the time had come to pay a visit to Starscream and Skyfire. She hadn't done much in the way of checking up on them since they'd gone to the Hyperion with Mantis and she felt a little guilty for that. It wasn't on purpose though. She'd just been busy. Between Bee's arrival and attempts to get used to being human, and Jazz's arrival, not to mention work, she'd barely had time to sleep much less pay random visits to places she'd really rather not go to begin with.
The irony, of course, was that her reason for not wanting to go near the Hyperion had nothing to do with Starscream. In fact, while she wasn't sure if they were friends or not, she did know they were no longer enemies and therefore didn't have much in the way of concern when it came to the Decepticon.
No, her reason for not wanting to visit the hotel had a lot less to do with someone who had once tried to kill her and instead had everything to do with someone who had once saved her life.
Zuko. Just thinking his name made her stomach churn slightly. Their relationship hadn't been the most intense, and it hadn't lasted all that long, but it had mattered to her. Clearly much more than it mattered to him. And that knowledge hurt.
Still, she owed it to Starscream and Skyfire to make sure they were settled. She didn't want them to think they'd been a burden on her and she was glad to be rid of them, and she didn't want them believing that she wanted nothing to do with them now that they were gone. So she headed to the Hyperion and just hoped against hope that Zuko wouldn't be there. Maybe, if she was really lucky, one of the former bots would be standing there and she wouldn't have to speak to anyone who might even think to tell Zuko she'd been there.
Taking a deep breath and hoping for the latter while all but certain the former was more likely to come true, Mikaela exhaled slowly and stepped into the lobby.
