The Fates shouldn't have just sent Eve. They should have sent an entire army. The entire council and and entire army of Angels. This place was insane. Online she found people talking about demons, and magic. She recognized symbols from her years of studying black magic. All around here the supernatural were crossing the line, and while people were fighting back, they just kept coming. Was she allowed to do anything? Frankly, she wasn't sure she cared. It wouldn't be the first time she had directly gone against an order from above.
The half demon, turned Angel was standing at the top of a two story building, looking down at the chaos below. At the very least, she was so glad Savannah wasn't here, and that she was probably someplace safe, with Paige. ...or mostly safe, depending on what she was getting her nose into these days.
Movement caught her eye, a woman peering around the corner of a building. She looked dirty, and terrified. She paused there for a moment, before making a run for across the street, trying to get someplace safe. If Eve had imagine hell, this would be what it looked like. She watched the woman run past a building that looked like it was ready to fall apart, and duck over a fallen body of a monster that had already been killed. She was just about to enter a building, one something moved from inside.
Eve heard the scream, and didn't hesitate. She went from up on the roof, to down on the ground. The woman had retreated to the bottom of the steps, and the creature, shaped like a human, but bloody, monstrous, and moving in a horrible way toward her, was on its way down. Eve looked directly at the thing, and one hand raised above her head. A sword, much bigger than one she should have been able to handle appeared in her hand. "Sorry, but my sword out ranks your...pointy stick." she said dryly, referring to the small knife in the things hand. In one broad sweet she brought the blade down.
It past right through the creature, and it automatically collapsed. Still in one piece, but dead. Turning, she looked at the woman, sword still in hand. "Run." she advised, half debating following the woman just to make sure she made it somewhere.
