"Ugh, this is so frustrating!"
Toph slammed her fist down on the table. Opened up on the table in front of her was a book she'd just bought to learn how to read braille. Because reading was kind of important in this world and even if she wasn't technically blind, her earthbending skills couldn't let her see the words on a page. Or a sign. But learning how to read braille was proving to be really hard for her. And it didn't really help that she wasn't the most patient person in the world.
People had begun to look in her direction and she glared right at every one of them. Not exactly what the typical blind teenage girl would do. Then again, Toph wasn't a typical blind teenage girl. Exasperated and frustrated already, she slammed the book closed and shoved it into her messenger bag. She got up from the table she had been attempting to read at and, hands shoved in the pockets of the hoodie she was wearing, started walking toward the front entrance of the store to leave. She could sense people looking at her strangely. A blind girl without a cane or seeing eye dog getting around just fine. A smirk settled itself on her face. Earthbending was better than a seeing eye dog and a cane combined.
Once outside the store, Toph started walking down the street, not really caring where her feet were taking her. Not like a little adventure wouldn't do the girl some good. She must not have been paying attention fully, hence why she missed the fact that there was someone walking right toward her. Inevitably, she bumped into this person a little hard, dropping her bag and causing the book of braille to fall open on the sidewalk.
"Great...just great..." she muttered to herself, going to pick up the book and her bag. Hopefully whoever she bumped into wasn't one of those rude obnoxious types. Otherwise she was likely to be rude and obnoxious herself.
