It was only then Sarah stopped pacing – or at least tried. What actually resulted was pacing simply contained to the space directly in front of Peter. Back and forth, tense and panicky.
"The goblin and his hat, and Hoggle, were here," she said, rubbing her face. "I didn't call them, Peter, I didn't even know they were here until they came downstairs with Toby and brought me that."
She nodded sharply at the box before continuing. "I thought it was some kind of gift for Jareth being gone." She laughed and there was the faintest hysterical edge to it. "It's a gift, all right. An insane gift that I don't want."
