Who: Bastila Shan and OPEN (to any Sith and or Baddies :D) Where: An alley downtown When: January 24, 11:30 pm What: Old habits are hard to break, especially for ex-Sith Apprentices Rating: PG-13 (a mugger gets his life drained out of him - sith style) Status: Incomplete
Bastila had kept a low profile since arriving in LA. The only people she had really spoken to were Simon and Jania. For now it was better like that, the last thing she needed was Exar Kun, or someone equally as evil finding out about her Battle Meditation*. So far she had spent most of her time hiding away in bars, and looking for supplies so Simon could possibly, hopefully, construct his own lightsabre.
She hoped that one of the other Jedi's could train Simon if he did prove to be a Jedi. She knew that she was not the best candidate for the job. She had enough trouble mastering her battle meditation, and the constant pull back to the dark side, there was no way she'd risk pulling Simon down a similar path.
Bastila had made Jania promise to kill her if she did fall to the dark side again. Bastila hoped it wouldn't come to that, but she knew, if she fell then there was very little hope for anything that was good. She could essentially kill them with just a simple thought. She always wondered what would have happened when she was a Sith, if Revan hadn't saved her. She knew whatever it was hundreds, maybe thousands of innocent people would die, all because she meditated. This scared her, there was no meditation that could take that fear away from her.
Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted when she heard a woman scream. From across the street it appeared that a young woman was being attacked by a man. The Jedi's eyes narrowed slightly, why was this world so disgusting? She steadied herself, hoping that the situation would end as peacefully, and uninjured as possible.
But before Bastila realized what was happening her hand had outstretched in the direction of the mugger, she wasn't even aware of the bright red light that all of a sudden shot out of his body and flew into her hand. She didn't hear him screaming as she drained the life from him and took it into her own body. Her face was twisting into a snarl, and the more red light her hand absorbed, the more her veins became more noticeable, the more yellow her eyes became.
Suddenly the man fell dead a few feet from Bastila, and the red light vanished. For a second Bastila smirked, as if she was proud of her work. Proud that she had just used the force to drain the man's life. One second later however she was staring at her hand, and the smirk on her face changed into a look of terror. Her veins became less noticeable and her eyes faded back to their normal brown. She began to breath very quickly, as if she was choking and then her eyes rested upon the man's lifeless body.
Bastila sank to her knees and looked back down at her hand, and then the man's lifeless form. The woman was gone, which was good, for both her and Bastila.
The Jedi swallowed and looked back down at her hand, which had now begun to shake.
"What have I done?" she whispered.
[ooc: *Battle Meditation is a very rare force power. By meditating Bastila can change the will of people fighting, she can give her allies strength and courage and instill fear and weakness into the hearts of her enemies. Aka...someone you don't want to go rouge.]
