Amelia's lips quirked upward in a partial smile that didn't reach her eyes, before her expression became carefully neutral (with a touch of misery) once again. "Hi," she replied softly. "Thank you, for agreeing. I just..." She stopped, her breath hitching slightly. With a soft exhale, she shook her head.
"My Aunt Jaina was killed today," she murmured as she began to follow him inside. "As was my Great Aunt Mara. And..." She wasn't sure how to say this, so she simply stated, "Caedus. The Dark Side version of my father. He... he was killed a few minutes before I contacted you. I couldn't stay there, after that. I just... couldn't."
By this point they at least weren't still on the street, where just anyone could hear them. Not that it really mattered. On nearly every street corner, someone was sobbing about the loss of a loved one. It just hit some harder than others, it seemed.
"Do you... is anyone going to mind me being here?" she suddenly asked, as the thought finally crossed her mind. She hadn't even really given it much consideration, before. Just assumed it was fine, if Scorpius said as much.
