WHO: Amelia Solo and Scorpius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy later in scene WHAT: Seeking solace in times of heartache. WHEN: Immediately following Caedus' death WHERE: The Weir RATING: TBD STATUS: In Progress
Caedus was dead. Dead. Willow had killed him, in cold blood. Amelia was still in a state of shock when she found herself standing in front of the Weir. Apparently, she'd made her way over without even paying attention to her surroundings. Not a very vigilant thing to do, but she was surprised that she could even manage that much through the tears that blurred her vision.
Scorpius was expecting her. Somehow, in her daze, she'd at least thought to send him a message from a nearby internet cafe, telling him she was stopping by. Had she not, Amelia realized however belatedly, she might not have been able to get inside. There was no telling what sort of magic protected the people inside.
Magic. It was what had killed Caedus. A different type, true, but still magic.
Sniffling, trying in vain to appear a bit more put together than she was, she waited for Scorpius to meet her outside. She didn't know enough people to feel comfortable going inside on her own, and she really didn't want to see anyone else if she could help it anyway. Truthfully, she wasn't even sure why she was seeking him out instead of her family.
Because they wouldn't understand, a voice whispered in the back of her mind. Logic. Oh, how she hated logic right now. Telling the voice to firmly shut up, Amelia wiped away the moisture from her eyes and re-focused on the building, waiting for Scorpius to take her the rest of the way inside.
