Amelia heard what he'd mumbled and smiled a bit more at the comment as she stepped into the room. Glancing around, she was impressed at the decor. For some reason she'd expected his place to look messy. Like a typical teenage room, really. Her own room, of course, was fairly organized and neat, but Amelia blamed living at the Praxeum. She'd learned quickly to keep her things in order there, lest she receive the look of displeasure from Luke.
Scorpius, though... she was pleased to see kept his own things in order too. Either that, or he just didn't have very much that was his own to keep in order. Either way, Amelia was suitably impressed.
"This is a nice room," she commented idly as she looked around for a place to set the cake. Finding a flat surface, she unloaded the dessert and turned to face him. A large smile filled her face at the mention of ice cream. "That'd be great," she agreed with a nod. "Ice cream is at the top of my list of favorite foods on this planet."
She wasn't sure why she admitted such a silly thing to him, but she was surprised to find that she wasn't embarrassed at having done so. There was something about him that put her at ease.
And it didn't hurt that he was handsome, either. Not to mention funny, and smart, and talented (at least, she assumed he was, he certainly seemed the type to be good at most anything he tried). Looking around once more, she finally perched on the edge of his bed and added, "And thanks, by the way. For... all of this." There was sincerity in her tone, now. It seemed that Amelia couldn't understand why he'd be willing to put aside whatever plans she was sure he had, just to spend the evening with her.
