It had been a long night, and Kate had grown cranky through out the evening. While she hadn't shown it at work, she was not in a good mood. Despite all that was happening, the Lux was still open. Probably because it was safe. The no fighting thing made it a safe place. And it was true, Kate felt safer at work. But safe didn't mean her mental sanity, and right now the only way to save that was to get back home. When the bar was closed, and everything was cleaned up, she was glad to walk out the doors.
On the street, she turned to looked around. She inhaled, taking in the scent of the enviroment, mostly to check and see if anyone or anything was too close for comfort. Not that it did her any good. The smell of millions of people, trash, cars, pollution, death, and so on all blended together. Nothing too out of the ordinary.
Zipping up her form fitting black sweater, she pulled the hood up over her head, and started to head home. Her long legs carried her quickly down the side walk as she kept her eyes on the area around her. It was times like these she was glad her father had taught her just about everything he knew in fighting and how to defend herself.
