Mind is willing, soul remains
WHO: Narcissa and Draco Malfoy, and Edric Nott. WHAT: Plotting, chatting, bonding. WHEN: Afternoon. WHERE: Patina restaurant. RATING: PG for now. STATUS: In progress...
Narcissa had been eager for this dinner namely because it meant seeing her child again, though he could hardly be called such. And yet, to a mother, children were always their little baby, their angel. She had asked Edric to come along, wanting Draco to meet with the man she now resided with, and also wanting another pair of eyes; for while she would like to think she missed nothing, a mother could sometimes be blind and therefore, Edric would note things she would pass over. She had fretted over Draco as any mother would the night she'd last seen him, disgusted with her sister for thinking she was worthy enough of deciding her child's loyalty. Narcissa was beside herself, raging to Edric later on. Bella and herself had always been close but this crossed lines that were never meant for crossing. This broke bonds and burned bridges.
She'd settled on a green jersey dress by Yoana Baraschi, picking silver heels to give her the look of school alumni representative. She had yet to reveal speaking to Ronald Wesley about her sister and settling some sort of alliance. She figured that when the time came to meet with them, then she would fill her family in. For now, there was no need to cause further problems.
She was nervous, waiting just outside the restaurant for Draco to arriving and she kept gripping and ungripping Edric's forearm, her own arm draped within his.
Note: It is being assumed that Narcissa saw her son after he was attacked by Bella. Just because I can't keep up doesn't mean she would have neglected her son.
