Kim was late. Kim was so late, and her coach was not going to be impressed. She half ran, have jumped over people as she sprinted toward the doors of the gymnastics facility she was supposed to be training in ten minutes ago. Ten minutes was a big deal when your country was counting on you to bring home medals. She was never going to hear the end of this. Adjusting her bag on her shoulder, she took the steps two at a time toward the facility, and then threw herself at the doors.
They spun, and she expected to find herself inside. Instead, she was standing on steps again. She came to a direct halt, looking around. Hadn't she just gone inside...? It was dark, when two seconds ago it had been late morning. And this was so not the same place as before. On top of that, her bag was gone. "What the..." she said, confused. Looking behind her, she found herself staring up at a public library, who sign currently said closed.
Spinning back around, she placed her hands out infront of her, taking a deep breath. "OK, Kim. Calm down, just calm down. You've had weirder things happen." she told herself, not caring if she looked crazy. Her eyes closed, shaking her head. "But that was when you could actually morph, which you can't do anymore." she sighed, and then opened her eyes.
Her eyes locked on her wrists, and then went wide. There, in place of her normal watch, was her old Communication Watch. She brought her arm up to her face for a closer look, hardly believing what she saw. Automatically, her hands went to her pocket, and found right away what they were looking for. She didn't need to reach in there to know she was holding her Morpher. "Alright, what?" she said, now more annoyed than confused. Why did she have this stuff?
She looked around her for a second, then started walking, down the steps. She knew it was silly, but there was no harm in trying, right? "Alpha? Zordon? Come in. Uh...guys?" She asked, using her watch, but there was nothing. Looking every which way, she started to make her way through the city streets, hardly believing what she was seeing.
