Heather knew that was probably true, but it didn't make her feel any less awful about feeling the way she was feeling. She also knew, though, that Faith was the person to talk to based on what she'd just said, and that in itself made her feel a little better.
She reached up to run a hand through her hair, then sighed. She avoided eye contact at first, not really wanting to see Faith's reaction if it happened to be a bad one. "Well, I...I don't really know what's going on with me right now. You know. About the...the rape. I mean, I was doing okay, I think, for a little while, but now it's like..." She trailed off, shaking her head. That wasn't really the point, even if it sort of was. "I know Kira's upset. And I know people are upset for her, and pissed off at Jack and that other girl, I really get it. It was a terrible thing to happen to someone, finding out the person they love went behind their back and kissed another person they hate." She paused, waiting for a while before she continued, already having said all of that in one breath. "But...I'm sitting here after somebody...something bust through that door -- " at this point she reached up to motion to her own door, locked up tightly again after Faith had entered " -- and came in here and...and hurt me in more ways than I'd ever been hurt in my entire life. Something that looked like someone I love, and I got called a bitch and hit and raped. It was...it was like I was torn apart from the inside out, mentally, physically." Quickly, she stopped for a moment to wipe at her eyes, which had glassed over in the midst of her speech. "He's just... Everyone is, really. Making this huge deal over what happened to Kira, and I...I can't remember the last time someone asked me how I was doing with that. Even my own father took off after it happened, and I just..."
Finally, she stopped completely. She'd been looking off towards the kitchenette the whole time, never meeting Faith's gaze. At first, it had been because she just didn't want to see it if Faith looked angry or shocked, but now, it was so that the other girl couldn't see the tears that were suddenly pouring down her face.
