Up until the very second she heard the knock accompanied by Faith's voice from the other side of her door, Heather had still been contemplating on whether or not this was even a good idea. What was she thinking? This wasn't right, the way she was feeling wasn't right, and there was no way revealing her issues was going to solve anything. It was only going to make things worse, she felt. But there was a part of her that was going to explode if she didn't say something to someone, and more than anyone else she knew, she felt Faith would be the least judgmental out of them all.
"Yeah, hang on," she called, getting up from the couch and moving toward the door, unlocking it and opening it slowly. She'd been watching some drama movie on television, so there was a soft background noise within the apartment that Heather just felt more comfortable having.
Stepping back to allow the girl inside, she added, "Thanks for this. I know you've been busy, but..." A shrug. She wanted to say that pretty much everyone had been busy lately, but that would just sound immature. She already felt that way to begin with.
