Really, she had been avoiding this talk, from the moment they had the girl move in, but soon as she heard that Nick and Alex were dating, Lis wasn't able to put the talk off for much longer. No matter how much she'd changed into a mother hen, she couldn't allow boyfriends and girlfriends under the same roof, not when they were still so young. Had Nick or Alex been 18...okay, maybe older, but had be been an "adult," she might not have had much say. But this was still her house, and even she had had respect enough to keep her "friends" out of the family life.
Elisabeth had politely asked the others to steer clear of the living room until she gave the okay, needing to speak with the youngest Jonas first and foremost. She found him in a bundle of nerves on the sofa and she smiled warmly at the curly haired boy to try and ease his discomfort. Though, she wasn't exactly 100% calm either. "Hey, don't give me that look, this isn't one of those bad conversations, yeah? Just a necessary setting of rules and...stuff." Because she still needed to explain things on her end; Gabriel, the baby, Ryan.
She sat next to him and tucked her legs under her, leaning her weight onto her elbow against the back of the sofa. "So, you know I can't have Alex stay with us, right? I mean, you've put me in a difficult situation by becoming involved...and if this were a normal household, no decent mother in her right mind would allow a girlfriend to move in at such a young age." Mind as well dive right in.
