Starscream's reaction, while not something Skyfire necessarily wanted to see coming from his mate, wasn't all that unexpected. He was slowly beginning to accept the fact that there were just some things that he couldn't hope to change. Some variations to Starscream's Spark that would never cease to exist. It didn't make him love him any less, though, and it certainly didn't frustrate him. He... understood, in the type of way that only he could, most likely.
Still, being fiercely overprotective wasn't going to get them anywhere. Especially not when this Psycho Mantis seemed to know things that he really shouldn't know.
"Love," he spoke softly, gently placing his hand on Starscream's shoulder, "I think we should listen to him. You've said yourself we need to find a place to stay and, if he's telling the truth and an Autobot is on his way here, this would be the best time to do just that."
Logic. Plain and simple reasoning. It was difficult for someone to argue with such a thing and Skyfire knew Starscream would be hard-pressed to do so. Of course, he also knew if anyone could hope to argue it, it would be Starscream. He hoped it wouldn't come to that, though.
