Mikaela had gone out to do a bit of shopping and Starscream was taking a shower, leaving Skyfire to his own devices for a short while. Not that he minded, of course. He was busy discovering the wonders of the World Wide Web and had no inclination to stop anytime soon. He was so engrossed in the website he'd discovered (something called 'Wikipedia') that he scarcely registered the sound of the door opening. It wasn't until he realized a split second later that it was far too soon for Mikaela to already be back that he looked up from the computer screen and realized the person stepping into the apartment wasn't Mikaela at all.
Not one for overreacting if it could be helped, Skyfire simple tilted his head to the side a bit as he studied the stranger. The mask was curious, as was the fact that the man had unlocked the door without use of an obvious key. Then he spoke and Skyfire felt his curiousity nearly double within an instant.
How did he know who they were? How did he know they were bond-mates? These, and a dozen or so questions just like them, crossed his mind in a matter of seconds. Distantly, he also knew this wasn't normal, not even by human standards. Yet Skyfire just rose to his feet and offered the masked man a rather pleasant sort of smile instead of demanding answers of any kind.
"I'm new to human customs but even I know an introduction is in order, first," he said simply. "And, of course, I'll need to get my mate. If he's even willing to leave with someone he doesn't know." Which Skyfire doubted, but thought that perhaps he could convince him... if he had a reason to think that leaving with this stranger was for the best. At this point, he was just curious, not convinced.
