Something in Mikaela ached at the reaction she was getting from Bumblebee. She hated being the reason for his obvious distress, yet she couldn't - wouldn't - back down from her decision. She knew Starscream was different, at least with Skyfire around, and even if she couldn't make Bumblebee see that fact, she wasn't going to pretend it didn't exist.
Crouching down in front of him, she said just as quietly, "I'm sorry. We don't have to talk about it anymore, okay? We can talk about something else. Anything you want."
It was the coward's way, perhaps, to just drop the subject. But, really, what else was she supposed to do? He was obviously upset and he had just been turned human. That alone was enough to freak him out. Continuing to point out that someone he knew to be an enemy - someone responsible for blowing off his legs, no less - suddenly wasn't an enemy anymore? That really was a bad call on her part.
Rising back to her feet, she offered him one of her hands and a small smile. "Come on, Bee," she encouraged him. "Let's take a walk. I'll show you some of the area and we'll talk about whatever you want to talk about. I won't mention it again. I promise."
