I wish you well, on this trip to find yourself,
WHO: Rinoa Heartilly and Jack Sparrow. WHAT: Singing, making up, being mistaken for a person he is not. WHEN: FORWARD-DATED! Evening. WHERE: The Lux, second floor. RATING: PG-13 for now. STATUS: In progress... NOTE: The Lux is not technically open yet, so we're pretending this takes place in the near future.
The Lux. It was new, promising, and a way to possibly do one of the following; forget, make new friends, forget, drink rum, pretend to be seeking these things called friends…it was a night out on the town, that’s what it was. Jack was curious about the place, having heard something in passing that it was spiffy or hopping or bitching, all terms that were modern and passed over his head, but at least sounded positive.
Had he known Rinoa would be there, he may have reconsidered his outing, making it a for sure trip or a not so for sure trip and not at all, thank you very much trip, but last he heard, she had landed a job before this place had even opened and so, he deduced, she wasn’t working here. Wrong.
Jack had decided to set aside his pirate garb and donned a grey suit and jacket. He still, of course, had his dreadlocks and beads, but he left the hat as home, placing it on top of his favourite and preferred outfit, and instead wore a matching fedora. He tied his dreadlocks into as much of a ponytail as he could muster and trimmed his beard.
He was glad to have opted to dress more modernly when, after moving upwards to the second floor to check out the activities there, he noticed that nearly everyone was nicely and formerly outfitted. Jack received a few looks, though while he thought it was because of his looks or being recognized as Captain Jack Sparrow, it was because he had an odd similarity to the Lux’ owner. Regardless, Jack ate it up and sat, patiently waited for Rinoa (and still not knowing it was her) to begun her performance.
