WHO: Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, [OPEN] WHERE: Random park, streets of L.A. WHEN: afternoon WHAT: Her arrival! RATING: TBD STATUS: thread; in-progress NOTES Be aware, spoilers for The Clone Wars lurk within.
In her short time as Padawan, situations were rarely as she expected them, but Ahsoka felt certain that this really did top the list of unexpected. One moment, she had been crouched near Artoo, seeing to the full service she'd promised him for venturing out into the sands of Tatooine, mouth opened to say something to her Master, and the next moment, everything and everyone had disappeared, leaving grass and trees and utter confusion behind.
Ahsoka's lightsaber snapped to life even as she went on alert, stock still after a moment with her head lowered, reaching out with all senses, Force and physical. Togrutan abilities offered her a connection to the land most other species did not possess and it was something that told her that this place wasn't exactly right, even for all the distinctive, if not personally recognizable, presences in the Force she sensed. Even if she could count on both hands the number of different planets she had been in her fourteen years of life, she knew she was someplace far more foreign, a place that vibrated within her in a different tenor than the one she had always known.
Being confounded by this abrupt relocation wouldn't help her, though it did scare her, a fear she tried to quickly master with fact. There were those Force signatures she did recognize, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi among them. They were much farther away than they had been several moments ago, but that wasn't the only concern. It wasn't even the major concern for Ahsoka right now.
The change in her Master was.
What she found perplexed her, as for all the familiarity there still was, his presence was different, so much stronger and changed in a way she struggled to reconcile. She'd felt the Dark on Tatooine, but this wasn't it. Nor was it the Light either. She couldn't explain this place or her arrival in it, and now she couldn't explain yet another thing.
Ahsoka's eyes half-closed, the only movement to her frozen form, and she concentrated harder, closing out input from physical senses – the sights, smells, sounds and tastes of this place – to focus solely on Anakin and try to determine just what was going on.
