WHO: Jaina Solo, Artoo-Detoo (and Anakin Solo, if he wants to join) WHAT: Flying! WHEN: During this. WHERE: The clearing where Jaina has her StealthX hidden. RATING: TBD STATUS: In Progress
As the sun continued to creep higher in the sky, signaling noon's fast approach, Jaina finally stepped out from beneath her ship and dropped the tools she'd been using back into the box where she kept them. Wiping some of the grease and grime from her hands onto her pants, she exhaled slowly and stared up at her pride and joy. "You know, if you would just go five minutes on this planet without having some kind of malfunction, I might be able to find the time to actually take you for a spin once in a while. I know you'd like that just as much as I would, so try to stop breaking, would ya?"
That being said, Jaina glanced over her shoulder at the path that led to this particular clearing. She wasn't worried about someone hearing her talk to her ship. She felt no shame at such an act and, in fact, would readily admit to doing so no matter who might ask. No, she was actually looking in the hopes that her guest for the day had finally arrived. She was worried, truth be told, that Artoo would have trouble finding the place and she was starting to wonder if she should go in search of him.
Of course, Jaina also knew that she was anxious for him to arrive. The upgrades she was going to have to make were going to take a little bit of time and the sooner she got started the sooner they could leave on their trip. Not that she thought it would take too long. It was just a few simple modifications. Provided you ignored the fact that they were on a primitive planet that lacked every necessary tool and all the proper materials to perform them.
Still, she was definitely a resourceful one and had already figured out what use for substitutes. She had them gathered already, too, so it was just a matter of actually compressing the droid's memory thereby expanding his data functions. Then they could be on their way for an afternoon of flying and (with any luck) temporarily forgetting their troubles.
