Shoving her shirt on over her pale frame, Kate didn't bother to check and see if her appearance was acceptable. This was Stonehaven after all, were many of the people walked around wearing nothing after they had just phased. It happened. Kate emerged from the trees, running toward the house with a grin on her face. She was supposed to be working on an essay for one of her anthropology classes, but Logan had just yelled the announcement of a Football game that was about to begin. With the entire pack at Stonehaven for a visit, how could she turn that down?
Kate ran through the back door and made her way through the house toward the front door. She could hear her mother calling her for 'back up' and a grin broke across her face. "Coming!" she called as she neared the door.
She pushed the door open and stepped outside. Only outside wasn't where she ended up. Kate froze when she found herself surrounded by trees. There were no trees this close to the front door. Looking over her shoulder, the door to her house was gone. Tensing, Kate moved forward. This wasn't right. The smell was off. The smell of the pack was gone, the fresh air was also gone. It looked like a forest, but it smelled wrong.
Ahead she could hear movement, hear cars. Loud and clear. She started to run, moving through the trees. She kept on going until she game to a fence. It was just an ordinary one, like you'd find at a sports filed, or maybe a school. Climbing over it was easy, and when she got to the top, she dropped to the bottom, landing gracefully on the ground, and straightening up.
Her climbing and jump had also drawn some attention. "Hey!" she said, turning to the first person she saw. The woman's eyes went wide and she kept on waling, everyone else following her example. "Excuse me!" she said, but they ignored her.
Growling under her breath, she balled her hands into fists, turning her blonde head to the streets. "Damn humans." she muttered, looking around. Where the hell was she?
