Release Megatron? He'd been.. imprisoned? Oh, if Starscream had known, and he'd been there, he would have ripped the Decepticon leader's head off. What did that say about the other Starscream, though, that he hadn't? Was he.. loyal, perhaps? Was Megatron good to him?
Did Skyfire even exist there? --What kind of being was that Starscream, if he didn't? Was he.. sane? Did he have any morals left at all? It was all so terrifying to think of.
"I'm sorry," he said after a moment, blinking, brows drawing together. "I don't know what kind of person I am there, but I personally don't kill needlessly." In battle, you did what you had to do, but--- not against people uninvolved in the conflict. That was cowardly; it was very like something Megatron would do.
There was a pause, then, as he followed her gaze toward Skyfire, pale face growing even paler at the mention of others possibly arriving. It was true, he knew, and it was even possible that Megatron himself would show up. But.. surely, as he and Skyfire were now, Megatron would never find them. --He would tear the city apart, though. That was how he worked.
"If Megatron arrives here, Primus help us all," he murmured after a moment, voice subdued and eyes still following Skyfire with fierce, protective longing. "He'll kill me when he finds me, but--" He paused, glancing at Mikaela, gaze determined and melancholy. "Please. If it comes to that, you won't let him find Skyfire, will you? He won't want to leave me, but I.. I can't let Megatron hurt him." He couldn't protect him, either, in a human body. He had to hope that Mikaela would find Skyfire as amazing as he did, and want to help hide him.
