Climbing out and helping Skyfire out (as if his bond-mate really needed the help---he couldn't help it), Starscream offered a faint, slightly-worried smile that said he'd clarify things later. "It's so small," he murmured, glancing up at the building curiously, a slightly-befuddled line between his brows, "but it seems so big now." It was funny, how perception could change. Especially when you went from being over twenty feet tall to being just under six. No doubt it was even more unusual for Skyfire, who had been quite a bit taller than Starscream---granted, most of their people were rather taller than Starscream. He'd been built for speed, not strength, and his form had reflected that: small, slim, and with a sleek, streamlined design. He'd always been attractive, and knew it. Once upon a time, people had been surprised when he'd bonded to the gentle giant known as Skyfire; no one had thought them terribly compatible. And yet.. they completed one another in a way that no one else had been able to.
At the thought, he couldn't help but smile again, barely resisting the urge to pull Skyfire in against himself for another kiss---or just for the contact. But he had better self-control than that. He did. Sometimes. More often with Skyfire present to calm him.
Following Mikaela up to her apartment and in the door, Starscream paused just in the living room, finally daring to remove the blanket from around Skyfire's shoulders and strip him of the damp jacket and sodden tshirt. And if his hands lingered a bit longer than absolutely necessary, well.. it could be forgiven him this once.
"Would it be possible to dry his clothing?" he inquired, glancing toward Mikaela with the tshirt and jacket folded over a pale-skinned arm. "That would help, would it not?" Besides, it had to be uncomfortable.
