For a moment he stared as the door was open and his brother was on the other side. Joe tried to keep a straight face and a scowl of disdain, neutral. "..Yo." He offered just to be polite, but the sincerity wasn't there, the friendship that normally existed between the two was on freeze frame. Harmony completely out of whack. He was still hurt by the fact that his birthday was ruined. Still hungry because he'd stormed out and didn't get any waffles. And now even a little sore, because he'd tried to eat waffles at a local Denny's on his own and could only stare at them blankly. They looked revolting after the fight. Even his new guitar didn't sound quite so nice without his brother's own guitars to accompany it's lonely notes.
When he heard a third voice and saw the woman waiting for him. He gave Nick one last squinty eyed look before returning his attention to one of the prettier X-men. He loved them all of coarse, but...he didn't see himself dating Gambit any time soon so he turned on the charm for her and gave her a bear tight hug. Hugging defiantly wasn't abnormal in his family, and soon they would be living together so that completely counted. "Nope, not really. I mean...I got lost once..twice. Okay so I had to take a cab here, but he let me drive!....I don't think he was very safe. Then we hit a pole." Joe could really tell a story couldn't he? He decided to leave out the part where he thought the cab driver was evil, cause in this city it probably would have been taken literally. He wasn't sure if he was literally evil, or just a little evil after he crashed into the pole.
