Who: Diana Prince and Lois Lane What:Roomies! Er...talking about the Kent family Where: Their apartment, Bradbury building When: A few nights after the JL meeting Rating/Status: PG, in progress
The Bradbury was proving to work well for everything she needed, but Diana could admit she was exhausted. Brokering a liaison between Angel Investigations and the Justice League was next, which she hoped would prove easy given that Maxine programmed both security systems. But just working out all the logistics of having a new JL was enough as it was. The original had formed over years of teamwork and experience. Here, everyone was willing but unfamiliar with their teammates abilities.
Still, she fully expected they would work admirably well together. Having both Barbara and Maxine as an Oracle team was ideal; and likewise they had two Clarks, one who could possibly train the other. Kara was confident and eager in her abilities, without the trauma of Darkseid hunting her as Diana's version of the Kryptonian had. Oliver was proving to be level-headed and smart, much more so than his counterpart. And most of all, Diana was always grateful that Bart was alive and well in this world.
Still, in all that, she'd neglected to spend time with Lois, and it bothered her greatly. Lois had always prided herself on her inner strength and self-sufficient nature, and Diana admired those as well. But the time Lois came from was one marked by intense grief, and Diana knew she needed to be there for her friend. Kal-el would have wanted it that way.
Tonight she'd left free just for that purpose. As she entered the apartment, she slipped off her heels by the door, listening for the sounds of habitation. She had wanted to call first, but she'd been intent on the systems upstairs for endless hours. Hopefully, Lois was there.
