A small sigh could barely be heard over the chatter of the lunch rush at Mc Donald's as the boy stared down at the PDA in his hands. Sometimes he wondered why he had to be the one with this disease, he couldn't even order small fries at his favourite fast food restaurant without having to check with his PDA to make sure he could actually eat them. Usually, he wouldn't order fries but the need for something salty outweighed his need to eat something healthy and he had ordered a packet of small fries and some water. Simple, but he'd eat something better when he got back to the hotel room he shared with his older brother.
He didn't even want to be stuck in the year 2005 anymore. At first, it was kind of interesting with the whole idea of time travel but now, he just wanted to get home. He missed Kevin and Frankie and even, strangely for the teenager, his parents. The boy missed his guitars and being able to play music for people who wanted to hear it and the worse part about it was that he was stuck with the idea that he might never return back to his own time. His finger made one final trace over the screen of the PDA before he set it down beside the large tray he didn't even need to shove a fry in his mouth.
"OH EM GEE! IT'S NICK JONAS!" A girl seated at the table next to him whispered loudly enough for him to hear. The urge to roll his eyes had to be fought back as he turned and offered them a polite smile before continuing his "meal." Fangirl didn't give up, though and she turned with her drink in her hand to sit and face him on the side of her seat. "Where's Joe? Have you grown? Your hair looks good long!" She continued to babble as Nick strongly resisted the urge to bury his head in his hands and disappear into a hole in the floor. He politely answered her questions, thanked her for the compliment and turned back to his tray in front of him. Going out without Joe had been a stupid idea. At least Joe could handle girls even when the going was tough.
